The new ramps have been finished, ROSPA safety checked, and are open for use from today. Fingers crossed for a sunny weekend so everyone can get down and have a go.
This build has replaced the old street section with something even more fun, flowing and varied - just what you asked for. While the build took a little longer than planned due to the difficult weather this winter, we are thrilled to say the communities dreams are now a reality and the skatepark is now fully open and ready to enjoy as the weather improves.

Pete King, skatepark designer and builder testing his work.
On behalf of the whole skatepark community, the SSCP team would like to say a huge thank you to King Ramps for designing an delivering such a fantastic design based on what the community wanted.
We would also like to thank all the organisations and supporters who helped make this possible:
Swanage Town Council
Talbot Village Trust
The Valentine Charitable Trust
Swanage Rotary
Sport England And most of all, thank you to everyone who supported the community crowdfunder campaign.
You've brought this community asset to life. Now it is time to get out there and make the most of it! Were really hoping to see more people riding now there's a bigger variety of ramps, enjoying themselves, learning and building a positive skatepark community.
Opening Skate Jam
We are pleased to confirm that the official skatepark opening jam, hosted by King Ramps, will take place on Saturday 30th May 2026.
This will be a chance to come together, ride the new ramps, enjoy the atmosphere and win a few prizes. The format will be similar to previous skate jams, except this time we won't need to build any temporary wooden ramps to fill that empty space!
We hope to see you there.
In the meantime, happy riding!
